A landing page is a potent tool in digital marketing, designed to engage visitors and provide valuable information in return for their contact details. This article guides you through the process of managing landing pages for multiple purposes like testing offers, getting sign-ups for emails, sending visitors from paid ads, self-registration at in-person events, and more. Dive in to learn how to add, edit, and monitor your landing pages efficiently and effectively.
Managing Landing Pages
To manage your landing pages, navigate to the Contacts menu and click on the 'Landing Pages' link.
⚠️ Important
The 'Landing Pages' link can be found under the Contacts menu.
When adding a new landing page, choose between a blank or pre-built template, then click 'Create'.
If you want to edit or copy a landing page, click on the name of the landing page or the icon that resembles two stacked sheets of paper, respectively. To delete a landing page, click the X next to the landing page's name in the list of landing pages.
⚠️ Tip:
Always keep a copy of your high-performing landing pages to use as a template for future pages.
If your plan supports it, you can view your landing page's performance through the 'Conversion Stats' column. This shows statistics on website views and leads over a given time period.
Editing a Landing Page
While editing a landing page, you can add and modify text, formatting, images, video, and more. The button labels and field labels can also be edited to your liking.
By clicking on the 'Settings' button and then selecting the 'Page Settings' menu item, you will be able to access additional options.
You can tailor the automated messages to enhance the lead's engagement and overall experience.
To add a new campaign to your landing page, navigate to the "Campaign To Use" section. Here, you can define the email or text campaign that should be sent to your new lead once they register. Be sure to save your changes to apply them.
Sending Your Contact to a Specific URL After They Sign Up
When someone signs up on your landing page, you may want to direct them to a specific URL. You can do this by using the "After Registration, Send Visitor To" option. There are three options available:
- Send them to the home page of your website
- Send to a specific URL on the internet. We recommend linking to a specific page on your website. You might consider creating a "Thank You" page expressing gratitude for signing up on your landing page and providing further resources.
- Send them to a specific Custom Page that you have already created. This option does not require you to enter a URL as the system will automatically link over to the chosen custom page.
⚠️ Tip:
You should always aim to keep your visitors within your own 'circle of influence'. This increases the chances of further engagement.
If you would like to give someone a call booking package for free after they register on a landing page, select which call booking package the person should be given access to after booking in the "Give Access to Call Booking Package" field shown below.
Sharing a Landing Page
To share a landing page, view the landing page and copy and paste the link wherever you'd like to share it. This could be on a social media site, in an advertisement, or in a promotional email.
Setting the Landing Page As Your Home Page
If you'd like to set a landing page as your home page, learn how to do that here.
Advanced Options
For those with deeper technical expertise, the "Advanced Options" section opens up a world of possibilities to customize your landing page experience. Depending on your plan, this section may allow you to add HTML code, which can be used for a variety of purposes, including additional tracking, customization of appearance, and more.
- Custom HTML: Use this section to add any custom HTML code to your landing page. This is particularly useful for adding scripts from third-party services, such as tracking codes from Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel. For instance, you might want to trigger a "landing page visit" event when a visitor lands on the page, and a "new lead" event when they register.
- Notification settings: You can also adjust when you're notified about interactions with your landing page. You might choose to be notified every time a new lead signs up, or you might opt for a daily summary instead.
⚠️ Caution:
While the Advanced Options section can provide powerful customization options, it is designed for advanced users with a good understanding of HTML. Use this section carefully, as incorrect code could impact the functionality or appearance of your landing page.
Preview and Publish
Before you publish your landing page, make sure to preview it. This gives you an opportunity to see how your landing page will look on different devices, such as desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. The preview feature helps ensure that your landing page appears exactly as you want it before it goes live.
When you're satisfied with your landing page, simply hit the "Publish" button. Your page will be live and ready to collect leads. Remember, you can always come back to make changes and updates as needed.
We hope this guide has provided you with the necessary information to set up your landing page effectively. Don't forget to track the performance of your page, and adjust as necessary to keep attracting and converting leads.
