Jump to a specific location on a webpage

Providing an intuitive user experience on a website often involves smooth navigation within the webpage itself. One of the most effective ways to facilitate this is by using 'jump' links, which instantly guide users to a specific section of the same page. This comes in handy especially on webpages with a large amount of content or an index of links, where users can effortlessly navigate to different sections on the page without having to manually scroll.

To create a jump link, we first need to assign a 'jump-to' name to the section which the link will lead to. This can be done in the section settings of the chosen segment. Here's how to go about it:

1. Accessing Section Settings

Click on the section settings icon as shown below:

2. Assigning a Jump-To Name

After opening the section settings, scroll down to find the field where you can input a 'jump-to' name for the section. For instance, in the following example, the name assigned is chapter-1.

Once the 'jump-to' name has been assigned, navigate to another section on the page where you'd like to insert the link. Insert the link by entering '#' followed by the 'jump-to' name into the URL box. As illustrated below, in this example, #chapter-1 is entered into the URL box. After saving the page, clicking the link will navigate to the corresponding section.

⚠️ Important Note
Remember, the 'jump-to' name assigned in the section settings and the one entered into the URL box (preceded by '#') should match exactly, including the case. Mismatch in case or spelling will cause the link to fail.
